We were saddened to learn of the death ofCharles Emery MacCulloch, member of the St. Andrew’sSociety since 1996.The following obituary was carried in the Times-Unionnewspaper.
Charles Emery MacCulloch a longtime resident of Albany County, passed away on July 21, 2013 at St. Peter’s Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.He was born on July 1, 1921, the son of the late Charles H. and AngelineMacCulloch of Albany.Charles graduated from MilneHigh School and Syracuse University with a bachelor’s degree in art.He worked for 36 years in the offset printing business in pre-press and management positions in Deposit, Syracuse, Middletown, and Poughkeepsie before retiring in1986.Mr. MacCulloch served in the Coast Guard during World War II.In later years, he belonged to the Rotary Club, Free Masons and American Legion.He was a longtime memberof the St. Andrew’s Society of Albany and an elder at the Presbyterian Church in New Scotland.Charles married the late Frances Helen Eddy in 1943.They enjoyed 65 years of marriage together and shared many traveladventures.Charlesenjoyed camping, fishing, golfing and genealogy.Charles is survied by a daugther, Helen (William) Delman of Hyde Park and a daughter-in-law, Cheryl (Patrick) Foy of Cohoes. Also surviving are several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and his wife, Charles was also predeceased by his son, John and his sister, Betty Mattox. Funeral services are private and will-be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Bay Street Cemetery in Glens Falls.
