Society Members and honored guests celebrated the Feast Day of Scotland’s Patron Saint Andrew in glamorous style. After a fine reception in our beautiful “Rooms” we marched to the sound of the pipes down the street to the warmth of the Fort Orange Club. President Foy opened the celebration by extending a warm welcome to all and a word honoring St. Andrew on Scotland’s National Day held on November 30. After the introductions, greetings read from other St. Andrew’s Societies, many toasts, and “Ode to the Haggis” by Andrew Patterson, a fine feast was then presented. We were then entertained by the talented Scottish born soprano, Lesley Cragie who sang many wonderful Scottish songs and ballads. Officers for 2014-2015 were installed. It truly was a night to remember. Thanks to 1st VP Bruce Newell for his wonderful planning and for Past President’s Peter McLetchie and Reverend Joseph Shook for their assistance.
