The Society met for its stated meeting in November. The House Committee and Garden Committee were commended for their work during the year. The restroom on the second floor was redecorated and the historic light on the front of the building was repaired. The Garden Committee has put the garden to sleep for the winter. The President reported that the work with the architect is continuing and it is expected that a plan for the work on the ground floor will be submitted to the full membership for its consideration in January, 2014. The Robert Tunnicliffe Heritage Foundation reported that it is receiving applications for the 2013 award. The Book Club will meet in early December to view the new film, “The Book Thief” and will return to the Rooms for a discussion of the book. The election of officers was held and their installation will take place at the close of the St. Andrew’s Nicht observance. The speaker for the annual observance of St. Andrew’s Nicht will feature Mr. Paul Grohdahl, staff writer at the Times Union newspaper and the author of several books. The President reviewed the work of his term as President and thanked the many members who served on committees and volunteered to lend a hand to help during his term.
