PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Greetings Gentlemen of the Society:
My wife and I would like to express our gratitude for all the concern shown for our grandson Anselm Juan as he battled with his brain tumor. He has completed the chemotherapy sessions and will be starting radiation treatments in September. The treatments are for 6 consecutive weeks. Please continue to pray for his total recovery.

Recent Activities
Report on Ticonderoga Day, June 2017. The Saint Andrew’s Society of Albany was represented at the event by the following: William Burke, Richard Hixon, Thomas Goodfellow and Bruce Newell. Each year the event seems to grow but it will never be a Scottish Games event.
The Presidents Tea was held on August 27, 2017. We enjoyed the company of 20 guests and were glad for the company. Pictures accompany this newsletter.
The Highland Games at Altamont were held on September 2 and were attended by J. Alexander Higgle, Bruce Newell, Charles Brown and children, Dan and Eric Graves, David Newell and children, Richard Hixon, Brian McCandless, James and Jean Burns, Thomas Goodfellow, Rev. The Kirkin’ o’ the Tartan will be held on Sunday October 15 at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Pipes and Drums, led by Gordie Peters, start at 9:45. Worship Service is at 10:00 with Guest Preacher Dr. Earl S. Johnson Jr.
