The Book Club of the St. Andrew’s Society celebrated its fourth anniversary of books, gourmet- quality fare and lively discussions on Sunday, March 20 at its meeting in the Society’s Library and Wee Kitchen of the Rooms. The selections read and discussed were Our Souls at Night by Kent Heruf and The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins (notice that the decoration on the buffet table includes a train!). The Club of fifteen members meets regularly through the year and reads a variety of books, both fiction and non-fiction. On some occasions the members will view a theatrical presentation or film based on its book selection. The Club hosted three other book clubs in the community at the Rooms to hear author Joseph Persico discuss his works on Roosevelt.
