Our Burns’ night celebration was an evening marked by readings and stories about the Bard accompanied by a tasty catered dinner. The Ode to the Haggis, toasts to Queen, the President, Lassies and Laddies, and our military veterans opened the activities. We enjoyed the hospitality and surroundings of the Albany Institute of Art and History for the evening. Located across the street from our Rooms, the Institute houses the historic documents of the Society. A visit by Robert Burns was the highlight of the evening. Thank you Peter McLetchie and Joseph and Claudia Shook for a wonderful skit. The members and their guests agreed that the evening was a huge success.
